(Lanka-e-News -02.March.2025, 7.35 AM) Washington, D.C. – The historic Oval Office has witnessed countless moments of diplomacy, deal-making, and history-defining negotiations. But nothing – and I mean nothing – could have prepared it for the sheer spectacle that unfolded when Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Evans, and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky turned the place into a WWE-style shouting match.
What started as a high-level diplomatic discussion quickly escalated into a full-blown geopolitical brawl, complete with shouting, finger-pointing, and, if sources are to be believed, an actual shove that sent Zelensky stumbling out onto the White House lawn.
The meeting was supposed to be about peace, stability, and, of course, business. Trump, never one to waste time, immediately got to the point.
"Come on, pay $500 billion, or take the deal," Trump allegedly said, as if he were closing a high-stakes real estate deal rather than negotiating international security.
The “deal” in question? Ukraine handing over rights to its rare mineral reserves to the U.S. in exchange for… well, something, probably a Trump-branded hotel in Kyiv.
Zelensky, never one to back down, stood up, squared his shoulders, and fired back.
"Have you ever been to Ukraine? Have you seen the war? You sit here, in this golden palace, and tell me to take a deal? This is not a business negotiation—this is my country’s survival!"
Eyewitnesses say things got heated fast. J.D. Evans, Trump’s ever-loyal Vice President, tried to get a word in, only for Zelensky to verbally slap him down.
"J.D., do you even know where Ukraine is? Have you been there? Have you seen the destruction? You don’t know what you're talking about!"
At this point, Trump, clearly expecting Zelensky to simply nod, smile, and sign the deal, lost his patience. In what can only be described as a classic Trump moment, he waved his hand dismissively and gave Zelensky a light shove.
"Go away! Don’t shout at me!" Trump snapped, probably the first time a world leader has ever been physically ejected from a meeting at the White House.
If Trump thought Zelensky would quietly leave, he was very, very wrong.
The Ukrainian President fired back with a verbal right hook:
"I’ve signed deals with Putin before, and guess what? He never keeps his word. Why should I trust you? My country is still at war, and you want me to hand over our minerals? Is this a peace deal or a business takeover?"
Trump, always ready for a counterpunch, leaned in with his classic bravado.
"Listen, I know how to handle Putin. Biden messed it up, but with me? There’ll be no more war. I’ll make a deal. I always make the best deals."
Zelensky, unimpressed, reportedly muttered something in Ukrainian that probably translates to "Are you serious right now?"
As tensions reached their peak, security staff had to intervene. Trump, in an unbelievable display of diplomacy, reportedly yelled,
"Kick him out! Get him out of here!"
And then, the moment that will be replayed in political satire shows for years to come:
Zelensky, standing his ground, was forcibly led out—tripping and falling onto the White House lawn.
Yes, folks. A wartime leader, who has stood firm against one of the most powerful armies in the world, was tossed out of the White House like an unruly guest at a Mar-a-Lago dinner party.
The reaction was swift.
European leaders were furious. French President Macron reportedly called it "a disgrace to diplomacy," while Germany’s Chancellor simply rubbed his temples in frustration.
The Democrats went into full meltdown mode. Senator Elizabeth Warren labeled the incident "a new low for American foreign policy," while Nancy Pelosi simply poured herself a large glass of wine.
Even some Republicans were shocked. Lindsey Graham, usually Trump's loudest cheerleader, muttered, "Well… that was something."
This entire fiasco proves one thing:
Some people just shouldn’t be in charge of foreign policy.
A real diplomatic discussion involves understanding geopolitics, long-term strategy, and international relations. But for Trump and J.D. Evans? Everything is a business deal.
"Pay $500 billion or give us your minerals?"
This isn’t diplomacy. This is a mafia-style shake-down, with a White House backdrop.
Meanwhile, Ukraine—a country literally fighting for its existence—was expected to just roll over and accept terms that only benefit the U.S.
This should be a wakeup call for world leaders everywhere.
Sri Lanka, take notes!
Remember when India sent the Indian Peacekeeping Force (IPKF) and outsourced the war to the Tamil Tigers? And then, when the Tigers had outlived their usefulness, Sri Lanka turned around and wiped them out?
That’s exactly the type of strategic thinking Ukraine needs right now.
With or without U.S. support, Ukraine needs a backup plan.
Relying on Trump-style deal-making is a guaranteed path to disaster.
If a leader is more interested in getting a business deal than defending democracy, maybe don’t expect them to actually care about your country’s future.
At this point, the White House feels less like a seat of power and more like an episode of "The Apprentice: International Disaster Edition."
A sitting U.S. President physically shoving another world leader?
A Vice President completely out of his depth?
A peace deal that sounds more like an investment contract?
You can’t make this stuff up.
But one thing is for sure—the world is watching, and history won’t forget this moment of pure, unfiltered chaos.
