Here’s a humorous breakdown of the unexpected losers who thought they were invincible.
1. Johnston Fernando (Kurunegala - Pohottuwa)
Once the heavyweight of Kurunegala, Johnston must now grapple with a surprising reality: even his trusted “Pohottuwa” (lotus bud) couldn’t float this time.
2. Pavithra Wanniarachchi (Ratnapura - Cylindrical Symbol)
Known for her dramatic elixir escapades during the pandemic, her popularity went down the drain, just like that herbal “magic cure.”
3. Shasheendra Rajapaksa (Monaragala - Pohottuwa)
The Rajapaksa name has carried weight for years, but even a name as storied as his couldn’t withstand this NPP-powered electoral tremor.
