A Political Conspiracy by FSP and SJB Behind Japura Student Clash..!

-By University and Student Affairs Reporter

(Lanka-e-News -15.Sep.2024, 11.00 pm) It has been revealed that the student clash at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on Thursday (12) was orchestrated as part of a political conspiracy by the Frontline Socialist Party (FSP) and Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) against the National People’s Power (NPP). This conspiracy was allegedly supported behind the scenes by Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, recently appointed as Vice-Chancellor by President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

FSP's Student Attack..

On that day, members of the FSP's student wing, which holds power in the student unions, attacked a group of students affiliated with the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP). Reports suggest that the JVP students fought back in self-defense. It is also reported that Vasantha Mudalige, a leader of the FSP, was present at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura on the day of the clash, apparently coordinating the confrontation from a safe location near the university.

Vice-Chancellor's Role..

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Pathmalal M. Manage, allegedly played a key role in the political conspiracy orchestrated by the FSP and SJB. Under the guise of the student clash, he decided to close the university indefinitely without specifying a reopening date. The goal of this conspiracy appears to have been to create a false narrative of terror involving the JVP, both within the university and across the country.

Media Manipulation..

Rather than clarifying the nature of the conflict, the damage done to students and property, and the response of university management and police, Vice-Chancellor Manage used the situation to publicly accuse the JVP of trying to create unrest. These accusations were unfounded and served as a smear campaign against the JVP.

No JVP Control in Universities Since 2011..

Manage is well aware that no student body in any Sri Lankan university has been under the control of the JVP since 2011. Despite this, he blamed the JVP for the clash, aiming to harm the political reputation of Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the NPP. Since 2011, FSP-affiliated groups have held power in student unions, replacing the JVP's influence.

SJB’s Role in the Conspiracy..

Dr. Mahim Mendis, affiliated with the SJB, escalated this conspiracy by spreading the Vice-Chancellor’s false accusations further, specifically targeting the JVP and Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Mendis, who holds a personal grudge against the NPP due to his association with Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, amplified the Vice-Chancellor’s narrative to vilify the JVP and NPP. These accusations were then echoed by SJB leader Sajith Premadasa during his election rallies.

FSP's Leftist Treachery..

The FSP is engaging in leftist betrayal, actively plotting to thwart Anura Kumara Dissanayake’s chances of winning the presidency. The student clash at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura is just one example of this conspiracy. Their aim is to instill fear in the public regarding NPP leadership by making baseless claims of nationwide leftist terror.

The Story of Tarindu Uduwarage, the Montessori Child..

One telling example of this treachery is the involvement of FSP activist Tarindu Uduwarage, whom some mockingly refer to as a "Montessori child" due to his immature political statements. His actions exemplify the reactionary politics at play against the NPP, as the FSP aligns with regressive forces.

FSP's History of Political Manipulation..

The FSP is no stranger to political manipulation. In the 2015 presidential election, they allegedly accepted millions of rupees from Basil Rajapaksa to sabotage the chances of common opposition candidate Maithripala Sirisena. They fielded their own candidate to divert votes from Sirisena, who had the backing of the JVP, effectively aiding the Rajapaksa regime. Given this history, it is no surprise that the FSP is now collaborating with the SJB in yet another political conspiracy.
