Explosive Revelations of Illicit Payments to Secure Ranil Wickremesinghe's Presidency..!

(Lanka-e-News -24.July.2024, 3.20 pm)  Startling evidence has surfaced pointing to substantial monetary bribes exchanged to ensure Ranil Wickremesinghe's election as President of Sri Lanka. Video footage has captured discussions involving Ranil's handler and several influential parliamentarians, exposing a web of corruption and manipulation.

In a shocking turn of events, the recordings reveal meetings with a current SJB MP, multiple SLPP MPs, a notorious drug-dealing MP from Negombo, two prominent UNP politicians, and the owner of a major newspaper group known for his ill-informed climate change rhetoric.

Details of the Bribery Scheme:

1. SLPP MPs Bribed- Thirty-four MPs from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) allegedly received significant hush money from an associate of then-Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe to secure their votes against Hon. Dallas.

2. TNA MPs Involved- Six MPs from the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) reportedly received hush money from various sources.

3. Muslim MPs Compromised- Four Muslim MPs were bribed with hush money and additional licenses to vote for Ranil.

4. Speaker's Misconduct- Disturbing revelations indicate that the Hon. Speaker accepted hush money to arrange meetings with several MPs and guaranteed payments in Singapore, a severe breach of conduct for a serving Speaker.

5. Compromising Situations- Several MPs were provided with female companions and accommodated in a Negombo hotel. Nine MPs were recorded in compromising situations with these women, raising suspicions that the Ranil camp might have used these videos for blackmail.

6. Legal Ramifications- Legal experts suggest that seeking the Supreme Court's intervention could bring justice to the massive corruption in the presidential selection process. Such an intervention could end Ranil Wickremesinghe's political career, barring him from public office for over 15 years.

Despite losing his parliamentary election, Ranil Wickremesinghe entered Parliament through the National List, subsequently becoming Prime Minister and, ultimately, President through what appears to be a vote-buying scheme involving hush money.

These revelations cast a dark shadow over the integrity of the Sri Lankan parliamentary system, prompting urgent calls for legal action and a thorough investigation into the corrupt practices that tainted the presidential selection process.
