Group of Politicos form new committee purportedly to to resolve issues in the North sans political motives

(Lanka-e-news -21.Dec.2015, 5.10AM)   The people of Jaffna elected representatives via two elections to represent them and address their grievances, yet one  group that was elected and is in the opposition currently , while claiming they are espousing the cause of the Tamil people ,have formed a new committee led by the chief minister of the North yesterday together with the defeated politicos. The report in this connection of Dinasena  Rathugamage from Vavuniya  is herein :

The new committee was appointed under the leadership of chief minister of the North C.V, Vigneswaran yesterday (19) , the leader of EPRLF organization and former TNA  M.P. Suresh Premachandra revealed. Following discussions held at the Jaffna library auditorium  that went on until night (19) , the new committee was formed  , he added.

Premachandra commenting further said , the new committee was formed with a view to address the woes of the Tamil people ; to exert pressure on the government pertaining to the issues faced by the Tamil people ; to find solutions through the Tamil politicos to the problems of the Tamils ; to secure redress for the human rights violations during the period of the war; to act on behalf of the Tamil political prisoners  and those civilians who went missing.
 
The new joint committee is constituted of representatives of EPRLF party , All Ceylon Tamil Congress party , PLOTTE organization , Ilangai Tamil Arasu Katchu, the founder of this new joint committee Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam , the leader of All Ceylon Tamil Congress party revealed. 

C.V.Vigneswaran was appointed as the leader of the new committee, while Suresh Premachandra and Gajendrakumar Ponnambalam will be members of the leadership council , the representatives who participated in the relevant discussons stated.

The new committee will be functioning as an advisory body to search answers for the issues faced by the Tamil people sans political motives, Suresh Premachandra pointed out.

It was decided that the New Committee shall  meet again on the 27 th
