(Lanka-e-News -08.Sep.2015, 4.45PM) At a time when the International human rights council has concluded its international investigation into the SriLanka (SL) war crimes , and the report thereof is only to be issued , the request made again by Vigneswaran , the chief minister of north to hold an international investigation is a joke , Marvai Senadhiraja , the leader of Ilankai Tamil Arasu Katchu (ITAK) declared at a function held yesterday (06) to felicitate the Wanni electorate division M.P.s who were victorious at the parliamentary elections.
Senadiraja commenting further said , when Navaneethan Pillai was serving in the International human rights commission , the ITAK took the initiative to request for an international investigation , and the report of the investigation conducted into the war crimes with the intervention of the states internationally , is now ready and is slated to be revealed at the next International human rights council (IHRC) sessions.
The ITAK is taking measures to examine the report and decide on what action should be taken next . Hence , the request made by Vigneswaran for another investigation from the IHRC at this juncture is a betrayal of his lack of understanding , Senadhiraja pointed out
The non participation of Vigneswaran in the election campaign of the TNA at the last general election has become an issue , and his conduct has earned the displeasure and disillusionment of the leaders of the TNA that appointed him to the post of chief minister of north , Senadhiraja lamented.
Editorial comment :
Vigneswaran is the brother in law of Vasudeva . The latter who spoke (hypocritically or otherwise) for a long period for equality of races , suddenly metamorphosed into a racist out and out after the rceent appointment of Sampanthan the leader of the TNA as the opposition leader .
