(Lanka-e-News -03.Nov.2016, 10.00PM) Ms. Sanjeewani Indira Jayasuriya Dicker , youngest daughter of speaker Karu Jayasuriya passed away in a hospital in London on the 2nd ( evening) . She was suffering from an incurable illness though the illness was controlled for some time.
She was an old girl St. Bridget’s Convent and Devi Balika Maha Vidyalaya , Colombo. After receiving her education in Full Neck Girls School , Yorkshire , she completed her post economics degree at Bradford University , and obtained the M.A. in economics from the London School of Economics .
She was holding several management positions in leading Financial Institutions , and at the time of her death she was a senior marketing manager .She was married British National , a national Human resources management specialist Martyn Dicker , and is a mother of two children. At the time of her death she was just over forty years old. Her funeral rites were performed in Britain according to her last wish.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya was in London owing to her ailing condition.
