(Lanka-e-News- 22.Oct.2015, 10.30PM) The main demand of the people in the rainbow revolution of 8 th January was the etsablishment of independent commissions. Accordingly , The members of the first four commissions have commenced their duties. These members were appointed by the independent constitutional council , and were ratified by the president. Appointments have been made to most of these commissions in a way that all three races are represented. This is something most salutary .
