(Lanka-e-News -27.Sep.2015, 11.30PM) The Sri Lankans who live in New York are thoroughly disillusioned and disappointed that president Maithripala Sirisena on his tour of America has conducted himself in the same way as did ex president Mahinda Rajapakse.
The Sri Lankans speaking to Lanka e news said , like the rejected Rajapakses , the incumbent president Maithripala not only indulged in propelling and prodding his son forward giving priority to nepotism policies , but also neglected and was indifferent to those who amidst grave threats and risks to their lives ,truly toiled hard for Maithri’s presidential election victory. Maithripala gave the cold shoulder during his recent tour of New York to those who are his true election campaigners , and held high sex shop owners and porno moghuls , the true genuine New York Sri Lankans who contributed to Maithripala’s victory regretted.
It is an unequivocal fact that a large number of patriotic Sri Lankans in New York who were thoroughly disgusted and disappointed with the Rajapakse regime’s corrupt and criminal activities moved heaven and earth to topple the Rajapakse regime .No sooner Maithripala left the Rajapakses and joined with the opposition to be its common candidate , than these true patriotic groups in New York organized themselves to ensure the victory of Swan the symbol of Maithripala irrespective of party affiliations. Mind you , the UNP, JVP and pro Fonseka group merged with this common objective. Believe it or not , ironically , the least number of members in this merger was the SLFP.
This joint group discarding party affiliations on behalf of Maithri the common candidate sent US dollars 10,000.00 to SL for his election victory purpose under the Swan symbol.
It is most noteworthy , a great many of the New York SLFP ers did not work for Maithripala , and they stood by strongly with Mahinda Rajapakse from whom they were receiving reciprocal benefits. Not a single dollar did they sacrifice on behalf of Maithripala , whereas some New York Sri Lankans who jointly supported Maithripala casting aside their party hues , even came down to SL to support the campaign of Maithripala .
Yet , when Maithripala visited New York this time ,for his meeting with the Sri Lankans , most rudely and shockingly , he did not invite to his meeting ,the Sri Lankans mentioned above who made all the sacrifices to ensure his victory under the Swan symbol risking even their precious lives.
This patriotic group speaking to Lanka e news explained thus : invitation being not extended to them may be pardonable , but what is unbearable is ,the disreputed contemptible sex shop owning Sri Lankans in New York being accorded diplomatic privileges and formally invited to the airport to welcome the president and drive him to the venue of the invitee.

The individual in the red circle who is ‘worshipped’ by President Maithripala is none other than Sanath Vitharne alias porno Kingpin , a notorious owner of a sex shop located at 42 nd street , New York.
Unsurprisingly he is a New York bosom pal of Mahinda Rajapakse. Whenever he arrived in Colombo , Mahinda Rajapakse made it a point that he is airlifted from the airport to Colombo by helicopter.
Now , Maithripala seems to have contracted this contagion spread by the sex shop owner Sanath Vitharne.
Among the Sri Lankans who have earned international reputation in New York are , a popular musician , a chef, IT scientist , Bank security related scientist , Fashion designing software expert , award winning photographer and several others with a clean slate. All these famous Sri Lankans in new York who committed themselves wholeheartedly to steer the villager from Polonnaruwa , Maithripala to victory at the last presidential elections, with a view to establish good governance, were to everybody’s consternation not invited to president Maithripala’s meeting convened in New York.
Sri Lankans in New York opine , may be what is paramount for the president is nepotism , pushing and propelling untimely his son to the front unduly ; and giving prominence to sex shop owners and attaching importance to pornography.
The people originally thought , Maithripala Sirisena left Rajapakse regime with genuine intentions with people’s interests at heart .They therefore said , he is impartial , whereby he became a hero , and the people made this hero triumphant .
However after the victory on people’s votes by loudly criticising and openly rejecting the corrupt criminal Rajapakse villians ,if this hero –zero is to take over the stinking garbage cart of the Rajapakses as its leader , and he himself chooses to bathe in the fecal discharges of Rajapakse regime , certainly ,no civilized human being with a nose would come forward to cleanse him of his stench and squalor , no matter how strong and earnest his plea to them

None of those living the States did anything to topple Rajapakse. It is the people living in Sri Lanka who did it.
You only pretend that you helped, but if the results were the other way around, you would be glorifying Rajapakse.

This is not the President's fault as the Sri Lanka Embassy officials in New York have invited him as obvious from the staffers with him.Maybe they hired his vehicle too to get him a cut of the massive transport bill as advertised in the Embassy website!
