(Lanka-e-News -14.Sep.2015, 10.30PM) Lanka e news reports with great delight that the incumbent president Maithripala Sirisena had ordered the relevant officials to immediately suspend the appointment of Nilanga Dela as the Diyawadane Nilame until an investigation is begun. Nilanga Deal became notorious by virtually robbing this position after bribing his way to it, distributing Sil robes to the latest motorcycles, as though to give a thundering slap in the face of the government of good governance in broad daylight, that is unrelentingly preaching against evils, vices, bribery and corruption which were raging under the previous regime of deposed president Mahinda Rajapakse. In fact the government of good governance was elected not once but twice by the people because they have reposed faith in this government that it will stamp out bribery and corruption once and for all, and at all levels.
Nilanga Dela nicknamed ‘Allas Wadane Nilame’ a brigand of the discarded crooked Blue brigade secured a holy position of Diyawadane Nilame profaning the sacred tooth relic and outrageously cheating on the true Buddhists by practising all the cardinal sins on earth in the process.
Yesterday(13), when the president was on an official tour of Galnewa, the prelate of Awukana Rajamaha vihara Shastrawelliye Dhammakinni Thera presented a letter mentioning therein that Nilanga Dela offered him Rs. 500.000.00 as bribe to secure his vote . The president responding ,said he is fully aware , and the letter is not necessary.
The Ven. Thera also revealed to the president , because he exposed this illegal bribe to the media and he rejected it , he is facing death threats from Nilanga Dela, whereupon the president immediately informed the IGP to beef up the security of Ven. Thera . Thereafter the president has advised the relevant officials to suspend Nilanga Dela’s appointment until an inquiry is duly conducted into the election of Diyawadana Nilame.
If the investigation is carried out until the end ,the malpractices of his are exposed and Nilanga Dela is ousted , without any trace of doubt , President Maithripala’s name will go down in history as a president who reversed a most atrocious attempt to disgrace pristine Buddhism and halted a most sinister deception practised on true Buddhists. His name certainly will be inscribed in gold letters in the history books among saviors of Buddhism.
Earlier it was revealed that Nilanga Dela gave bribes in a sum of Rs. 100 million to secure the Dalada Maligawa Diyawadana Nilame post illegally , and become its custodian , but now it is learnt the bribes given by him are as colossal as about Rs. 3000 million !
The Mahanayakes would have themselves by now understood how they could wear the robes and bless the laymen of the committees who arrive ,as those would be rendered meaningless , when they as Dalada Mahanayakes have themselves permitted the lay custodian of the Dalada, Nilanga Dela to sacrifice sacred Buddhist values , tenets and traditions at the altar of selfish self seeking ambitions of his to become the Diyawadane Nilame unlawfully , deceitfully, unethically and sacreligiously .
The president certainly would not have given his above instructions without the blessings of these Mahanayakes who have now understood the true picture .
Based on reports reaching Lanka e news , Awukana Rajamaha vihara Shastrawelliye Dhammakinni Thera on the day of the Diyawadane Nilame elections , prior to voting had complained to the commissioner for Buddhism Chandraprema Gamage who was there that an election bribe was offered to him and he rejected it.But , Chandraprema had just brushed that grave complaint aside .
Chandraprema could not act better because during the past Rajapakse era of raging corruption and fraudulent activities , Chandraprema a bootlicking henchman of Nilanga Dela was appointed as the commissioner for Buddhism on the pressures exerted by Nilanga Dela.The native place of the latter is Ratnapura ,and when Chandraprema was the Nivithagala district secretary , he had been having very close ties with Nilanga Dela, and parasitic on him.
It was Nilanga Dela who was responsible to get Chandraprema appointed as Child protection authority . But Nilanga Dela later realizing he can exploit him only if he is made the commissioner for Buddhism , saw to it that Chandraprema is made the Buddhist commissioner . Nilanga Dela was able to wield such vile and illegal influence because ex president Mahinda Rajapakse was an old friend of Nilanga Dela’s father Dixon Dela from their school days.
Therefore allowing the present commissioner for Buddhism Chandraprema to investigate this monumental fraud is like requesting the papa (father) to probe into his sonna ‘s (son) rackets . Such an investigation is unavailing and will serve no purpose. It is like the chief (Alibaba) of thieves being asked to catch his own thief trained by him.
Already Nilanga Dela the Blue brigade brigand has a number of cases of fraud and deceitful activities against him . The FCID has conducted investigations into his criminal activities , and forwarded a file under Ref. FCID 33 /2015 to the AG for his advice to institute legal action.
There is also another case ref. B 34983 / 15 against Nilanga Dela which is being heard in Kandy courts.
Yet another case against Nilanga Dela is pending - complaint Ref. No. is CR 5/ 27/ 2015. The AG has put this in cold storage from May obviously to suppress it.
All these charges are against Nilanga Dela because of the robberies he had committed on the properties of Dalada Maligawa . Under ordinary circumstances , such an individual will not even be allowed to contest the Dalada Maligawa Diyawadana Nilame post. Nilanga Dela however has cleverly manipulated to forestall any protests prior to the election day by spending an additional sum of money.
This is how he orchestrated it …..
Another rival candidate Sudantha Senanayake has gone armed with a number of files containing documented evidence to protest. Only another candidate can raise objection in this election. Unfortunately , Sudantha was only proposed as a candidate , but there was none to second it.
This was because Nilanga Dela had instantly paid Rs. 1 million each to the eligible voters as bribe and precluded them from seconding. This bribery was organized as follows :
A dhana was arranged at the Malwatte temple for the monks who arrived to cast their votes .When these monks had gone there , they were received by Ven. Bengamuwe Dhammadinna Thera , the head of the Sripada.
These bribes of Rs. I million each had been distributed by Ven. Dhammadhitha Thera . By a strange coincidence unbelievably , several years ago , when Ven Dhammadinna Thera was being appointed as head of the Sripada , it was Nilanga Dela who distributed bribes on behalf of Ven.DhammadinnaThera to secure votes .
Sudantha Senanayake who came with all the files had to withdraw and take his files back as the Bhikkhu who took the bribe from Nilanga Dela backed out , leaving him high and dry.
Nilanga Dela had also made arrangements ahead to meet any contingency :In case Sudantha’s objections were successful , to bring in his cousin brother Tharindu Kaushal as the next contender. Nilanga Dela has proposed Kaushal ‘s name and had him ready to take over the former’s place.
A Bhikkhu had questioned this since Nilanga as a candidate himself cannot propose another candidate for the same post . Such a thing has never taken place in the whole world. Yet , the commissioner for Buddhism , Chandraprema , a henchman of Nilanga Dela had just ignored this valid objection. Finally , after Sudantha’s threat to Nilanga ceased , Kaushal Dela had first come forward and subsequently declared he is withdrawing from the contest , giving way for Nilanga Dela.
It is not surprising that none of these sordid machinations of Nilanga Dela were reported by the media. This is because Nilanga Dela who is a specialist at bribing had bribed every staff journalist coolie and of the districts of Kandy in sums of Rs. 500,000.00 to Rs. one million to halt them from reporting on this issue.
After having paid an advance , the balance was paid to the media coolies at a party thrown to them on the elections victory night . All these unscrupulous media dealings were arranged by J.L. Jayasinghe another media coolie.
So , this is how Nilanga Dela a brigand of the Blue brigade crooks had survived while duping Dalada Maligawa and the true Buddhists through payment of bribes day and night to be Diyawadana Nilame for the next ten years .
The Buddhists who are pro government of good governance are in this anti Buddhism backdrop created via the villainy and treachery of Nilanga Dela are earnestly awaiting the response of president Maithripala Sirisena.

Lanka e News is in receipt of information that a group is moving heaven and earth to delete the tapes of the CCTV camera installed in the hotel which recorded the scene of distribution of bribes . If that attempt is successful , may we warn , it is only the owners of the hotel who will become liable.

These illegal activities were introduced by former government and these activities needs to be eradicated from the country. MARA might have funded for this from his billions of looted money.
