(Lanka-e-News- 16.Aug.2015, 8.45PM) It has now come to light that president Maithriipala Sirisena had to take the stern , sudden and stunning decision to expel Susil Preamajayantha and Anura Priyadharshana Yapa from their posts of UPFA secretary and SLFP secretary respectively, and from the SLFP membership because they have both been indulging in the worst villainous and underhand activities while duping and lying to him profusely since the day Maithripala Sirisena became the president of the UPFA and SLFP. Maithripala has now come to know of their treacheries, betrayals and villainies ,according to reports reaching Lanka e news.
The most vicious deception and betrayal practised on Maithripala by these scoundrels was , while pretending they were trying to resolve the conflict between Maithripala and Mahinda , they have acted disloyally against the SLFP and clandestinely in favor of Mahinda by registering another party on par with the original SLFP party.
It was this double trouble duo who engineered the move to buy the Sri Lanka National Front party that belonged to Wimal Geethanage for Rs. 5 million and change it to Sri Lanka freedom Front and use the bouquet as the party symbol , out of Mahinda Rajapakse’s money.
This surreptitious move is of course an act most disloyal and fraudulent from the point of view of the SLFP party. It is questionable how the Elections commissioner’s permission was obtained to change the party name by substituting ‘Front’ for ‘party’
It is not possible to change the name of a registered political party into another name that is so close that it can obviously mislead the public .It is in law an offence under the tort of ‘passing off.’ Hence , it is the duty of the elections commissioner to inquire prior from the originally registered party whether they have no objections to it. Shockingly such a procedure has not been followed.
It is also a matter for surprise how , the purchase of the party from Geethanage , changing its name , and appointing an individual in the name of Sagara as party secretary were all done within a short period of 6 days.Unbelievably the double trouble duo Susil and Anura Yapa have kept Maithripala the president of the SLFP and UPFA in the dark when all these treacherous activities were being shamelessly engaged in by them .
It can be imagined if Rs. 5 million can be spent to purchase a party in a hurry from Geethanage to challenge the original SLFP party, what amount of money in many millions would have passed under the counter and to how many , in order to secretly secure a name that can challenge that of the original SLFP party.
By now it has become crystal clear that this double trouble duo had been engaging in all these dubious and devious machinations when they were close to Maithripala and taking him down the garden path while masquerading as peace makers between Mahinda and Maithripala .
Maithripala though a trifle too late was compelled to take stern and prompt action against these scoundrels after their deplorable and disgraceful perfidies and deceptive manoeuvres came to light by accident .
When Maithripala refused to grant nomination to Sarana Gunawardena , nomination was granted to his wife ; when Maithripala refused to grant nominations to Chandrawansa and Ellawala , even then nominations were granted to them ; and when Maithripala refused to grant nominations to the three Ranatunges in Gampaha and objected to granting nominations to minister Prasanna , it is this double trouble culprits Susil and Yapa who have threatened that all of them would resign and contest under the Sri Lanka freedom Front (which had by that time been registered) if those whom Maithripala is rejecting are not granted nominations , and Mahinda Rajapakse the devil incarnate had been behind all these diabolic, destructive and deadly manipulations .
It is only after this series of disgraceful cut throat and perfidous activities of this double trouble devlish duo coming to light that Maithripala had to take this crucial, stern and stunning decision . More than the damage they were inflicting on the party leadership , it is the damage caused by them to the party that necessitated Maithripala as the party leader to throw these two scoundrels out lock, stock and barrel , once and for all , based on reports reaching Lanka e news inside information division.
