No P.M. post to Mahinda even if Alliance wins- Maithri’s letter states unequivocally :your vindictiveness and anger have exceeded limits

(Lanka-e-News- 13.Aug.2015, 10.00PM) This eveninig incumbent president Maithripala Sirisena has sent a clear and decisive letter to the Kurunegala district UPFA candidate Mahinda Rajapakse.

At the beginning of this letter , Maithripala Sirisena has mentioned  he is addressing this letter to Mahinda as president of the SLFP and not as president of the country. The president has stated in no uncertain terms that even if the UPFA wins he will not grant the post of prime minister to Mahinda ,while pointing out the latter’s vindictiveness and anger  have gone beyond limits. The president has also advised  him not to kindle communal  hatred during the next few days , and to act intelligently exercising  restraint.

This letter sent by president Maithripala when there is just a day before conclusion of election campaign is reckoned as a sequel to the president’s special address to the nation earlier on just after  handing over nominations. . It is well to recall Lanka e news reported  a few days ago  that the president was getting ready to give an answer for using his photograph without his permission in a UPFA advertisement . This letter is that  answer .

By clicking on this photograph hereunder the complete  letter in Sinhala sent to Mahinda Rajapakse by president Maithripala  can be magnified and read . ( The English translation will follow)
