(Lanka-e-News- 23.July.2015, 2.30PM) Reports of underhand activities of SLFP leaders conspiring against president Maithripala Sirisena while pretending to be his bosom pals have been received by inside information division of Lanka e News.
The opposition leader Nimal Siripala De Silva, SLFP secretary Anura Priyadharshana and UPFA secretary Susil Premajayantha met the president today (22). They made an apparently innocuous request (but truly most obnoxious ) to the president that disciplinary action decision shall be taken against those candidates who are seeking elections after having ignored the party . Accordingly , citing Rajitha Senaratne , Hirunika Premachandra and M.K.D.S. Gunawardena as examples, a meeting of the Central select committee was proposed to be convened.
As they are contesting under other parties , a disciplinary decision should be taken legally, and in order to democratically carry out the activities , the central committee shall be summoned, they have pointed out.
After the discussion , president Maithripala has agreed to summon a central committee meeting to be held at the party headquarters , Darley road on the 30 th at 8.00 a.m.
Under the SLFP party constitution ,without the concurrence of the leader , that is the president of the party , and without his chairing the meeting , a Central commirttee meeting cannot be held. Recently when a Central committee meeting was to be summoned without Maithripala Sirisena based on signatures of one third of the meebers signing , that was barred on an injunction order from the court. This order was secured by Prasanna Solangarachi , a supporter of pro Maithripala group of the central committee , an SLFP stalwart , and co - convener of the SLFP rescue organization .
Basaed on reports reaching Lanka e news , it has come to light that the consent of president Maithripala had been obtained today by sly manipulations with secretive diabolic aims by Nimal Siripala , Anura Priyadharshana and Susil Premachandra. It is the aim and agenda of this unscrupulous crooked troika to bring forward an instantaneous resolution against Mathipala immediately following the central committee meeting.
Under the SLFP constitution everyone including the party leader is subject to the party discipline. Therefore this resolution is to accuse Mairthripala of having committed a breach of party disciplinary rules based on his address to the nation recently. Thereby , it is their sly and surreptitious objective to dismiss him from the post of party president. Already the draft resolution is ready , LeN inside information reports have confirmed.
When this resolution is presented , both the party and the opposition will have to take a vote . In such an event , if the majority is in favor of Maithripala he wins. It is the view of Susil , Nimal and Anura the pro MaRa group of toadying slaves the pro Maithri supporters are a minority group.
In the circumstances , the SLFP rescue organization is harboring fears that prior to elections , by Maithripala giving his consent to the Central committee which is a product of the evil manipulations and machinations of the satanic troika - Susil , Nimal and Anura , whether Maithri would fall into their trap
