10 SLFP ministers tomorrow : National government broadens and barriers to 19 th amendment cleared

(Lanka-e-News-21.March.2015, 11.55PM) Instead of supporting the government while being in the opposition , it has been decided now by the president and prime minister to appoint 10 ministers of the SLFP to form a national cabinet , while also not obstructing the proposed 19 th amendment to the  constitution , based on reports reaching Lanka e news . It is decided to grant these SLFP  portfolios tomorrow .

The ministries of port and aviation under Arjuna Ranatunge are to be split , and one of those  is to be given to an SLFP er . Where there are such double ministries , they are to be split and distributed .

Susil PremJayanth , Anura Yapa , John Seneviratne have decided not to accept portfolios under the new   national government. Some others with Dilan Perera are to be appointed as new ministers  under the national government, it is learnt.

Following the victory of Maithripala Sirisena on 8 th January , during the formation of the cabinet of ministers at that time, discussions were held to grant 10 ministerial portfolios to the SLFP, but the latter was not in favor of that. Now , it is those ten portfolios that are going to be granted.

While the constitutional amendment for the complete  abolition of the executive presidency is pending ,the two parties have now agreed that some powers including the convening of parliament presided over by the president ; the president remaining  the head of the government , and the presidential power that is presently a controversial issue shall be vested in the president Maithripala Sirisena during his tenure of office only , but thereafter , when another  president is being appointed constitutional amendments shall be introduced to abolish those presidential powers and vest them completely in the parliament .

In any event, both the main parties have agreed to dissolve parliament towards end of April when the 100 days program is ending , and to hold parliamentary elections.

what a joke. Cant they share responsibilities with the present ministers? Is it because the present ministers will be upset and resign? Or the new ones want portfolios just to give a hand to the president? Ultimate losers are the Lankans, who have to foot out the bill for these jokers. Whatever it is please don't stop any investigations against these guys if they have committed any crimes under MR - Please, Please , Please. If any of these new jokers doesn't accept any position and just work for the betterment of the country and to strengthen the hands of My3 he/she will live in the hearts Lankans forever.
