(Lanka-e-News- 19.Dec.2014, 11.00PM) ‘The mega projects that have become bankrupt white elephants under this government will be decorated and made into lucrative green elephants,’ said Eran Wickremeratne , an economic specialist , a prominent banker , and UNP national list M.P.

The international Mattala airport where no planes arrive will be developed into a local airport for local tourists by the new government , and the Magampura port where ships are diverted from Colombo port will be developed into an international port to be of service to international vessels, he pointed out.

A colossal sum of Rs. 330 billion was spent for road development in 2014 alone . But the actual amount that was necessary for that construction was Rs. 130 billion. The remaining Rs. 200 billion was robbed , as charged by the government members themselves, Eran noted.

The railway department estimate was only Rs. 60 million per meter. This amount shot up to Rs. 1200 million per meter when the Beliatta railway line was constructed.

The UNP made these accusations then , but now Ministers like Champika Ranawake are themselves confirming that. These most corrupt abominable robbers after plunging the country into economic doom are planning to flee to St Kitts Island . Already they have secured their citizenship in that small Island where the money laundering is done, Harsha further revealed
