(Lanka-e-News -26.Oct.2016, 11.30PM) We are indeed happy to break a most salutary news that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has sent a circular that the judges in Sri Lanka cannot maintain face book accounts , and also prohibiting them from acting in response to websites .
May we recall , Lanka e news in the past was exposing and criticizing the immoral conduct of several judges who were taking advantage of the face book accounts. Consequent upon those reports , the law abiding citizens nursed a bitter repugnance and resistance against such conduct.
Lanka e news always first with the news and best with the views fearlessly and forthrightly exposed and castigated the immoral and unethical conduct via the face book accounts specially of Gampaha magistrate Kaveendra Nanayakkara , Amparai high court judge Sumudhu Premachandra, Judges Manjula Thilakaratne and Sampath Hewawasam
This right decision taken by the JSC though belated will certainly contribute and conduce to creating a new breed of judges of virtue as opposed to those with vice and vile traits, in the future.
