Those who banned websites illegally still unpunished but prodigy who allegedly hacked website held liable !

(Lanka-e-News -30.Aug.2016, 11.30PM) Following the arrest of the teenaged student who hacked the official website of president Maithripala Sirisena , and deleted the data therein , it has come to light that another individual had helped him , and that individual  too had been arrested. The suspect is 26 years old Janathi Madushanka from Moratuwa.

After the two suspects were produced before Colombo chief magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya , the judge ordered that the teenager be   entrusted  to the custody of Child probation home until the  2nd of September while the  other suspect  be  remanded until the 2nd of September.

Under the new Cyber laws of SL , accessing another’s website on the sly , and changing the contents of a  website  (hacking)  are grave offences ,and the suspect is liable to a fine of Rs. 300,000.00 or three years imprisonment or both.

It is a pertinent question why , similarly prompt action is not being taken even after the defeat of the despots ,against those who banned websites illegally  to suit the needs of despots in contravention of justice and ethics ?

What then should be the punishment for burning down newspaper offices that led to their precious libraries being wiped out completely? As ace arsonist cowards, do such retarded individuals with bogus first class law degrees need rehabilitation too?
