Leader of the house has blundered ! Bill that was passed amidst tremendous opposition has to be tabled again !

(Lanka-e-News -13.Aug.2016, 11.55PM)  The bill pertaining to the establishment of an office for the ‘missing persons’ which was passed  amidst senseless and meaningless objections and opposition posed by the Rajapakse shameless slaves on the 11 th , has to be tabled again because of the shortsightedness of and blunder committed by  Lakshman Kiriella, the leader of the house.

The reason for this is the announcement made by Lakshman Kiriella that this is not the  finally written amendment but the penultimate one. Though the Attorney General’s department had provided the final written document of  the amendment to  Kiriella , the latter in a state of confusion had informed parliament something else. According to parliamentary traditions , what is announced by the leader of the house  is law ,and nothing else can be passed.

It is learnt therefore , this blunder has necessitated another amendment to be presented again in toto , or that final portion  of the amendment has to be introduced as another part  to the amendment already presented , with the result it has become necessary to table the final amendment on another day . Until that day the bill will not become law.

Lakshman Kiriella who calls himself as an Attorney at law had made blunders often as a leader of the house so much so  that finally it is the government of good governance which  had to bear the brunt of Kiriella’s bungling  shortsightedness and egregious blunders.

Kiriella announces the time as ten o clock in the morning what should be commenced at 1.00 p.m. On another occasion he said the time is 9.30 a.m. what should commence at 10.00 a.m. While these errors were being ignored he committed an unpardonable blunder on the 11 th.

It is therefore high time the Prime Minister probes into the mental state and frame of mind of the leader of the house . Or else somebody who is stable mentally shall be appointed as the leader of the house. If not , the government itself will become a laughing stock before the despicable  discarded slaves who are barking all the time , and waiting for an opportunity to denigrate and disgrace  the government.
