(Lanka-e-news- 20.Nov.2014, 11.55PM) With the JHU that was earlier with the government now deserting it , the government had sent its marauders and murderers to attack the international Buddhist center , ‘Sadaham sevana’ which is under Ven. Rathane Athureliya Thera ,a JHU M.P., situated at Rajagiriya not far from Colombo .
When the goons of the government were trying to invade the center (Aramaya) and seize it the public who were urged by the social network in the Lanka e news face book (which is banned in Sri Lanka by the Rajapakse regime ), have appeared on the scene and rescued the center ; as a result , the government goons had to move out.
Upon receiving information that government party mayor of Kotte , Janaka an uncouth illiterate hoodlum along with a group of goons was going in procession to the temple (Aramaya) to break into it and demand that the land be divided into 5 perch plots and be given to the people claiming that the land belongs to the government, the temple devotees , a JHU group, lawyers and parliamentarians have arrived at the temple.
Consequently, the government gang of goons was warded off from entering the temple . Disappointed ,they have hurled stones and missiles at the temple. The monks who were in the temple have then informed the police , but the latter arrived at the temple after all the violence were over, and had provided security to the temple belatedly .The Sadaham sevana center which gives ‘sevana’ to about 25 Bhikkhus was constructed on the land of the government provided by the Kotte municipal council.
AA journalist questioned on this from the JHU at a media briefing held recently in connection with the resignation of its members from the ministerial portfolios ; he asked , whether the JHU members who handed back the vehicles etc . that were given by the government are going to return the land of the Aramaya also to the government ?
Ven. Dr. Omalpe Thera , the President of the JHU as well as Ven. Rathane Thera replied , the premises was not given as a private property to Ven. Rathane Thera , and it is temple property . Hence it cannot be returned back by Ven. Rathane Thera based on the temple ordinance .
Therefore , it is clear the rulers using its murderous gangs only tried to acquire such a property today.
Lanka e news face book publicizing this , helped to rescue the temple from the hired goons and gangs of the despicable Rajapakse rulers . Lanka e news hereby thanks all those who went forward to protect the temple.
