Peratugami brutes who tried to force a Kelaniya University student to remove her jeans meet their Waterloo -remanded (video)

(Lanka-e-News -08.May.2016, 8.30PM)   The so called Peratugamis (progressives) in  word but retrogressive in deed , who after capturing the power of the University student organizations had all along been a source of torment to the University students owing to their barbaric and brutal behavior finally  met their Waterloo.

The latest torture inflicted on the newcomers (freshers)  to the Universities by this barbaric brutes is , during the full  first year in University these freshers must wear cheap pleated  skirts  which reach beyond their knees .They must also wear frocks with collars which cover the upper arms. They are also forbidden to wear fancy footwear made of leather . They can only wear rubber slippers. They cannot wear chains , necklaces and bangles. Only a pair of earrings is  allowed. These are the barbaric rules of the so called progressives who follow the lifestyle of demented Veddhas in the forest. If any student breaks these primitive rules , he or she is liable to their cruel and barbaric punishment .

A Kelaniya University first year female student of humanities and language faculty who went for classes wearing a jeans was treated most humiliatingly. The barbaric Peratugamis have begun giving undue harassment to this student and tried to force her to remove the jeans. The victim having no alternative has sought the intervention of the  law enforcing authority of the country –the police . She has made a complaint to them about the humiliation and harassment she is being subjected to.

The police who investigated the complaint had arrested 7 senior students (male and female)  of the same faculty , who were remanded after being produced before Mahara court which  gave the order yesterday. It is significant to note all these 7 culprits are Peratugami primitive brutes .

Now making this arrest an excuse , these Peratugami barbaric brutes have staged  protests in front of the University .These Peratugamis are now indulging in character assassination of this valorous student who complained to the police . They are spreading malicious stories that her parents are politicos in spite of the fact they are ordinary citizens .

Is it necessary that one should become a politico to seek legal recourse in order to safeguard from criminals and scoundrels in this country ? Isn’t that a basic right that belongs to everyone? It is very unfortunate these Peratugami scoundrels are opposed to these rights. These are the so called progressives by name but retrogressive in conduct. They are in  word great socialists , espousing the cause of  equality and against plunder but in deed they are the very opposite,  going beyond even the worst of barbaric brutes in action. It is high  time the mass media and civilized society rise against them .

Parents have insisted that those who rag must be punished as follows :

Before the studentship is abrogated their free education should be withdrawn  because the tax monies of the people cannot be wasted on these raggers for their free education . Hence free education to them should be stopped once and for all.

Even  after the free education is abrogated  , if they still engage in ragging , their studentship shall  be withdrawn.

Based on the ratio of the barbaric students who while receiving free education are destroying the very structure of the  sublime Institutions -Universities , they shall be classified according to their misconduct up to the ‘red’ category, and a name list be prepared.

That name list shall be released to the internet so that it will receive publicity .This will enable the public sector  and the private sector to decide whether they can be given employment or not vis a vis their background , when these students apply for posts.

Hereunder is a video footage of the brutal ragging prevailing  in Sri Lankan Universities

Absolutely correct.1) The names of those involved in ragging should be published in the newspapers and available in all campuses for referral by would be employers. 2) Their free education should be withdrawn. Payment should made if they are to continue. This is the only way to stop this menace. The country cannot afford to educate terrorists and beggars.

No wonder our country is moving backwards and not forwards.... Its time the Minister of Higher Education brought in more progressive deterrents to ragging immediately.

THE STUDENTS WHO ENGAGE IN RAGGING MUST BE LEGALY DEALT WITH AND THEIR STUDENTSHIP CANCELLED. ITS THE TAX PAYERS MONEY THEY WASTE AND ALSO THE PLIGHT OF A STUDENT WHO HAS TO STUDY UNDER TRYING SITUATIONS AND THEN GET SELECTED TO ENTER UNIVERSITY WHICH IS OPEN OLY TO ABOUT 16000 OUT OF A FEW HUNDRED THOUSAND CANDIADTES WHO SIT THE EXAM, IS A CRIME. MAXIMUM PUNISHMENT MUST BE METED OUT TO THESE HOOLIGANS

They should be punished severly. One of the option is to have new concept call university police. Need to have police posts established in side universities. Because, we are stakeholders of future of this country. We pay for these bandits. There is no law to say that police cannot stay inside universities. They don't have any autonomy beyond sri Lankan constitution. They should bow the law of the land. Infact in my personal opinion free education should only be provided up to ALs. Implementation of law is very essential.

Time to get students pay for the subjects that they fail in each semester as tax payers cannot allow their hard earned money taken by government to spend on students who do not study but instead waste their time on these barbaric acts.Once this is imposed they will not have free time to harass innocent students. Exceptions can be made on medical grounds supported by MC from DMO.

These brutes should be expelled from the university. If this is done once, this practice will cease in no time.
