(Lanka-e-News -27.March.2016, 10.30PM) Uduwe Dhammaloka the embroidery monk and Kirilapone elephant rogue who was never even close by during the period when Ven. Sobitha Thera conducted the campaign , and said the death of the Ven .Thera is suspicion ridden and a homicide was yesterday (26) summoned to the CID , to record his statement.
It is a well and widely known fact that Ven. Sobitha Thera was ailing for a long time , and died while he was receiving treatment from the world’s most renowned doctors regardless of glib utterances of rogues and rascals.
It has become a practice in Sri Lanka for suspects after committing all the crimes, perfidies and villainies to make heroic statements to the media . The elephant rogue Uduwe Dhammaloka is no exception. He told the media that legal experts revealed to him that the grounds cited in connection with Ven Sobitha Thera’s death are not reasonable , and therefore he made these statements with responsibility based on those revelations .
‘Instead of destroying me, appoint an impartial commission to probe this,’ Dhammaloka said.
It is a pity that this elephant rogue is so ignorant that he does not know , if there are suspicions surrounding the death of Ven . Sobitha Thera , it is the CID that should do the investigation and not a commission. If Dhammaloka has grounds for suspicion , he should first make a complaint to the CID or to the nearest police station before making statements to the media.
Dhammaloka who had no genuine interests in that direction , after being released from remand custody over his elephant theft , held a media briefing to create a political stir.
Following this announcement of Dhammaloka , yesterday Ven. Ulapane Sumangala Thera made a complaint to the CID to launch an investigation ,to ascertain whether the death of Ven. Sobitha Thera is a homicide as claimed by Dhammaloka. Accordingly when the CID commences the investigation , Dhammaloka the elephant thief may claim it is to destroy him.
Either this embroidery scoundrel of a monk is lying in keeping with his overriding trait , or is ignorant of the laws
