(Lanka-e-News -23.Dec.2015, 3.00PM) The most welcome end is in sight at last for the obnoxious media culture that was created by Lankadeepa editor Siri Ranasinghe , a notorious scoundrel who during his tenure of office absorbed his village cronies and worthless blokes into Lankadeepa to create a slave camp and have a dictatorial control over them while practising all the cardinal sins on earth most unconscionably for his selfish self propulsion for the last 30 years including stooping to the lowliest of levels to do the most sordid biddings of Rajapakses to extract the best of benefits and privileges from them.
He was a journalist who earned the most ignominious reputation as a stooge , lackey and lickspittle of the Rajapakses and would not give up that role even if the Rajapakses made him a spittoon worthy of only spitting into. This media coolie became most infamously famous for degrading the professional dignity on a scale never known before in the media sphere . While making bootlicking , backbiting and betraying his favorite occupation during the 30 years , he led Ranjith Wijewardena the chairman of Wijeya newspapers Co. too down the garden path , thereby making Lanka deepa newspaper a low bred slave serving the dictatorial rulers.
The government of good governance which commenced with cleaning up the State institutions has now gone beyond on this tidal wave which is sweeping across the country . Consequently , the private media Institutions too are being cleansed of media scoundrels , rascals and ‘pimps’ .Within the Lankadeepa itself , there has arisen a tidal wave to chase out the corrupt and unscrupulous Director of the editorial board, notorious devil incarnate Siri Ranasinghe.
Recently , during a tour organized by the Institution , one journalist with a backbone took Ranasinghe to task with all his fury, and fearlessly .He exposed openly to his face how Ranasinghe stooped to the worst of evils professionally and otherwise during the Rajapakse regime ,and even after its defeat at presidential elections to bring them back to power. We salute this journalist for his frank, fearless and forthright revelations!
By now , following the rising tide of opposition against dictatorial Siri Ranasinghe from within the quarters of Lankadeepa journalists with guts , and from middle level society from outside that exalts justice and fairplay, the time has come for him to pack up and go , even if he does not want to , so that all right thinking people can now say in one voice –GROBR (Good riddance of bad rubbish)
This two legged creature who has not an iota of shame in him has tried to creep into Lake House and secure a high rung position through duping president and prime minister (P.M.). However the president and P.M.having known him well and his sordid nature had ignored him.
Siri Ranasinghe was employed at Lake House before he joined the Lanka deepa. While at Lake house he was found guilty of stealing newspapers , and chased out from the Institution. Hence , there is no possibility for such a crook to be taken back and given a high ranking post - an individual who does not deserve even a post of peon. The files pertaining to Siri Ranasinghe’s robbery record is by now with the president , prime minister and another news paper editorial chief it is learnt.
In any event , if Sri Lanka is to be cleansed well and thoroughly , the media Institutions including the private media that are the Kings of the fourth tier should be cleansed with the best detergents for the worst dross and dirt that are heaped up in those places for so long have to be removed, and all the crooks and unscrupulous cronies must to be flushed out from the nooks and crannies no matter how deep within they are hidden.
Lanka e news is ready to open avenues and provide opportunities for the true journalists whose mouths were gagged hitherto .Hence Lanka enews is hereby inviting the true journalists to join hands with Lanka e news to take advantage of those opportunities.
