| Yet another death for which MaRa regime must answer |

 (Lanka-e-News-18.June.2012, 10.00PM) In February 2012 , a youth by the name of Antony died when he was shot at by the Rajapakse Govt. when he was among a group of protesting fishermen at Chilaw against the fuel price increase.
In this same shooting incident a father of four children too sustained leg injuries . This suffering father had on the 15th June committed suicide because he could not endure his sufferings , according to reports.
As a result of his losing his leg , the deceased’s eldest son could not travel to School ,and his school going had to be stopped last March. Thereafter the child had begun going to the fishing zone ,catching fish and selling them to keep the home fire burning.
This sorrowing father had always been telling the neighbors and relatives that he cannot bear to see his child suffer and earn for the whole family.
Since the Govt. has done nothing beneficial for these fishermen and who also suffered because of the shooting by the Govt. security forces, these fishermen’s lives had been becoming most burdensome day after day , so much so that this victim was forced to take this most extreme painful decision – taking his life . How many more are going to follow him cannot be predicted right now.
Let it be understood that there can’t be a more wicked inhuman cruel action by a govt. than shooting at protestors when they are agitating for their just rights.
These atrocities are reminiscent of those of Hitler .
