| Fonseka shall be treated at Nawaloka Hospital until he is fully cured – SC decides |

(Lanka-e-News -09.May.2012, 11.45PM) The Supreme court ordered today that former Army commander Gen. Fonseka shall be gven in house treatment without interruption at the Nawaloka Hospital. The five judge panel including justice Shiranee Bandaranaike delivered this order .
Following the Commissioner of prisons refusing to provide security at Nawaloka Hospital , the Colombo High court gave an order that Gen. Fonseka shall be transferred to the General Hospital. But with the Supreme court directive the High court decision was rescinded. |

The Lawyers for Fonseka told court that there is no special unit for treating him in the General Hospital , and as large crowds visit the Hospital daily there is a risk to his security .
The SC five judge panel which reviewed the request ordered that Gen. Fonseka shall be released from the Nawaloka Hospital , after the medical specialist Vajira Tennekoon treating him gives a report confirming that he is fully cured. |
