 (Lanka-e-News-04.May.2012, 11.30PM) Those who came to Sri Lanka (SL) from Kodakkara, Kerala are called Kodakkaras. Even today Sri Lanka is called as Ilangai in the Tamil Language. Some say, Ilangai Koddakkaras were known as Ilangakoon later on. 1200 years after Christ , the tales weaved around them are still remaining . Matara Ilangakoon Mudaliar was the first person to win the heart of the Island’s ruler. Since that time these Ilangakoons have been Island ruler’s hangers on.
This writer during his young days was taught Sinhalese by a Teacher by the name of Ilangakoon. In addition to teaching Sinhala , he also showed the first English film to our group. That was in the year 1973 or 1974. the film was ‘Great Barrier reef’ That record breaking film is still lingering in our memories. This Sinhala teacher taking great pains to show an English picture is something startling when we think back now.
Those strange Ilangakoons are no longer living. Now in the present time , monkey Ilangakoons have sprung up. Of course if these Ilangakoons after making their appearance remain quiet , there is no issue. Unfortunately ,one of them has now become the IGP of the country. Though evolution of monkeys into man had taken place long ago , there are also still faceless policy-less humans who are still living as monkeys. The story like ‘ monkeys make houses’ had become famous because monkeys have no policies. N. K. Ilangakoon is such a monkey IGP . ( monkey say , monkey do ‘donkey’).. Many media Institutions respected him when he became the IGP in the belief that he would follow policies. The monkey had misled them to believe that way.
There is a distinction between Rilawa (a kind of monkey) and monkey . The qualities of Rilawa are inferior to those of the monkey, because Rilawa is a shameless disgraceful rogue. Monkeys are not that bad. Just the minutest opportunity is enough for the Rilawa to commit robbery. Those who have been to Mahiyangana , Dambulla will no doubt confirm this.
The MaRa(Mahinda Rajapaksha), BaRa (Basil Rajapaksha), GoRa (Gotabhaya Rajapaksha), ShiRa (Shiranthi Rajapaksha) , NaRa (Namal Rajapaksha) group which is robbing without notice, hindrance or announcing is now the ruling team. By now the media have come to know that the policy less monkey IGP mentioned in the foregoing paragraphs is looking and thinking far into the jungles .
These Rilawa rogues who are now parading as ‘Kings’ are being joined by this monkey IGP to rob the ancient treasures of SL belonging to the nation.
What happened in Sivalapitiya village , Dunumandalawe , Vilachchi , day before yesterday was just that . When the STF of Rilawa king appeared with the monkey IGP’s support and began illicitly digging for treasure they were caught red handed by the people. These villagers are poor , yet value self respect, they have never tried to rob the ancient treasure belonging to the nation. Therefore they took special interest to protect the national wealth, unlike these Rilawa Kings and Wandura (monkey) IGP . But , the Rilawa group and the monkey got together and released their treasure diggers even after they were caught in the act red handed . Thereby the Rilawas and monkey Ilangakoon proved to the Sri Lankans that even nudity is no shame to them. |

May we recall that Lanka e news earlier on reported that Rilawa MaRa with a view to safeguarding his power and its perpetuation was searching most sordidly for a sword , and that his security division (PSD) has been deployed for that purpose. It was also revealed that when the PSD arrived in Rangala and began searching for treasure on the sly , the police officers who were dispatched to apprehend them were arrested and remanded . instead of the treasure robbers.
We also reported that the investigation into the disappearance of the swords in the museum conducted by Director of CID Mahes Perera had been halted. The killing of the Buddhist prelates at Kotte by those who came in search of swords was also revealed by us.

Latest incident clearly and abundantly confirmed the allegations against the Govt.
The residents of Sivalapitiya believe that there is a treasure trove under the river bank at Sivalapitiya. To rob that treasure , on the 1st of May night , a group including STF police A.S.P. , two STF police Inspectors ,two STF sub Inspectors were sent by the Rilawa Rajapakses via the monkey IGP. They came in 9 motor cycles used by top flight security personnel without number plates, a TID Defender vehicle and an STF Cab Truck.
Two Backhoes were also brought for the digging. The Backhoes were transported in two Trailer vehicles. All the coordination operations were carried out from a house belonging to the govt. at Oyamaduwa, Dhunumandalawa. All these illicit operations were conducted with the knowledge of the Mahavilachchi police station OIC , R S B Amarasiri.
When the people caught the treasure STF rogues , the plans were foiled of theirs. Tear gas was used on the people who acted duly according to the law to capture the Govt. rogues. They were threatened with death. They were attacked. The innocent villagers who regarded the soldiers with respect earlier , having realized they are treasure robbers, began attacking them with stones, disgraced them and chased them away.
As the situation turned for the worse , calls started coming from Temple trees to the constable PC No. 47632 who was operating Mahavilachchi police station. Calls were given to every phone in a desperate bid to save the group of MaRa who were engaged in the ancient sword search and digging operations.
Finally the rogues went scot free. Until date no one had been arrested. It is feared that the innocent law abiding innocent villagers who acted lawfully may be arrested on the frame up that they obstructed the law enforcement and the police officers in the performance of their duties.
The wandura (monkey) IGP Ilangakoon who transformed the soldiers into national treasure robbers ,must take full responsibility for converting the STF into treasure robbers. If he knows that the governing Rila group – MaRa , BaRa , , GoRa , ShiRa , NaRa are downright rogues , and if he is not a wandura (monkey) , he must act with dignity leaving room for his children and grandchildren at least to respect him , and face the future with self respect. , for, there is no doubt that MaRa , BaRa, ShiRa , GoRa , and NaRa are Rilawas who are going to face the same fate Gaddafi suffered , finally hiding in the drain only to be caught and killed like a stray dog by the people. This Rila group is fast headed to suffer that fate at the hands of the people in the same way as Gaddafi. We hope monkey Ilangakoon who is evolved from the same Rilawa group will act with far sightedness as a human and not like a monkey at least for the sake of his children and grandchildren.
As humans we can only warn the Rilawas and wanduras (monkeys) which have taken the law into their hands and wreaking havoc on the country causing destruction at every turn like a garland in the hands of a monkey , that the day is not far off when they will meet their waterloo. |
